Contents Capture Privacy Policy
Contents Capture is a business app by Adjust Square ("we", "us") that helps insurance field teams photograph, document, and submit property loss evidence. Accounts are provisioned by your employer or organization administrator — there is no public self-service signup.
This policy covers the Contents Capture iOS app, the web and admin consoles, and the backing cloud services (together, the "Service").
What we collect
Account information
- Phone number — used to sign you in with a one-time text message code.
- Email address — optional; used for invitations, notifications, and as a backup sign-in method where your organization enables it.
- Name and role — provided by your organization administrator so your team can recognize you and grant the right permissions.
Content you capture
- Photos and videos taken in the app to document assignments.
- Audio recordings (voice notes and audio captured within videos).
- Form data, notes, and annotations you enter about a loss.
Location (optional)
- With your permission, precise GPS location is read only while the app is in use, and only when your organization has enabled GPS metadata. It is stamped onto captured evidence as a watermark. We never collect location in the background and never track your movements.
Device and usage data
- Device identifier — a random app-generated ID used to keep your offline queue and sync state consistent across launches.
- Crash reports and diagnostics (via Sentry) — used to fix bugs.
- Product analytics (via PostHog) — high-level feature usage used to improve the app. We do not build advertising profiles.
How we use it
- To operate the Service: sign-in, assignment routing, offline-first capture, sync, and submission of evidence to your organization.
- To send transactional messages: sign-in codes (SMS), invitations and notifications (email).
- To maintain security, audit access, and debug failures.
We do not sell your data, use it for advertising, or share it with data brokers. Content you capture belongs to your organization; it is visible to the people your organization grants access to.
Where it is stored and who processes it
Data is stored on Cloudflare (database and media storage) in the United States. We use these subprocessors to run the Service:
| Provider | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Cloudflare | Hosting, database, media storage |
| Clerk | Authentication and user identity |
| Twilio | SMS sign-in codes and notifications |
| Mailgun | Transactional email |
| Sentry | Crash reporting |
| PostHog | Product analytics |
| Apple | App distribution, TestFlight beta |
Retention and deletion
Captured content is retained according to your organization's policies. Because accounts are provisioned by your organization, account deactivation and data deletion are handled by your organization administrator through the admin console. You can also email us (below) and we will route the request to your organization.
Security
Connections are encrypted in transit (HTTPS). Media is served through time-limited signed URLs; there are no public links to your evidence. Access inside the Service is role-based and audited.
Children
The Service is a business tool and is not directed at children under 13.
Changes
If we change this policy we will update this page and the effective date above.
